BEWARE: This post is long. You may need some pretzel sticks to ward off hunger! As an added bonus, I have taken the liberty of attaching I nice little song fill that background silence with some energy.
To start, I would just like to say that my skin has a mind of its own; a mind that happens to be bipolar. In technical terms, I have combination skin, but I like to call it "Mark's Skin" due to how "unique" it is ;)
Whenever I start my morning routine, I begin with washing my face with cold cream. I pretty much smear it on my face, sometimes let it soak in for a minute or two to moisturize, then rinse it off super well with cold (sometimes warm) water. I like using cold cream because it deeply cleans my face and is easy.
After cleaning my face I treat pimples with an off-brand spot treatment then moisturize with regular Normal-to-Dry lotion. This sounds sort of strange due to the fact that I just used the cold cream to sort of moisturize, but if I don't do it twice, the skin around my pimples dries up like crazy due to my spot treatment's 10% salicylic acid content.
I usually wait a minute or two for everything to soak in well so my foundation doesn't go crazy (I don't know if that logic is at all viable). Once everything is all soaked in, I squirt some Dream Fresh BB Cream onto the back of my hand and use my Eco-tools foundation brush to apply it. I then immediately use my Eco-tools retractable kabuki to blend the BB cream, and follow that with some Clinique loose powder to set it all.
Depending on the day, I may use some concealer under my eyes to rid myself of dark circles and ugly discoloration. I like to skip this step if my circles aren't too bad because I just kind of hate concealer :)
Usually, I finish off with some clear mascara and lip balm!
And, PRESTO!
As you can see, my skin still doesn't look PERFECT, but to be honest, I kind of like not looking flawless so I still look like a human. And after all, no human has truly perfect skin, so to look naturally beautiful, my goal of putting this makeup on my face is to control my facial annoyances.
Until next time, which I promise won't be long away, this is MW wishing you a wonderful day!
