The Princess Products Method

Confession Time.

I have recently been looking at a lot of beauty blogs.

Though frivolous and silly, this action has helped me come to a realization that I am so excited to convey. Many people incorporate makeup into their daily routine for reasons such as covering up imperfections, attempting to make themselves more attractive, and many other reasons such as these. This makes me want to cry.

WHAT KIND OF WORLD DO WE LIVE IN WHERE PEOPLE FEEL THEY HAVE TO WEAR MAKEUP AND COVER IMPERFECTIONS TO BE BEAUTIFUL?!

Makeup can make some feel more beautiful and confident, and that is a great thing, but when makeup becomes what one relies on, solely, for themselves to be confident on a daily basis, that is a shame!!

I encourage you, the reader of this blog, to be honest to yourself. Ask yourself what makeup means to you (if you wear it). If it has become a mask to hide your true self behind, like I have described above, I urge you to follow the philosophy I am about to lay out for you. It is called, The Princess Products Method.

The Princess Products Method encourages one to choose a few makeup products (3-5) that when worn by the chooser, makes them feel like a FREAKING ROYAL, and put all the others away. The products can be anything! A lipgloss, a blush, a highlighting powder, etc. Instead of putting on one's everyday routine of makeup, they choose one or two of their Princess Products, applies it slowly, with care and prestige, and looks at themselves in the mirror with pride. After a big huge smile, a wink, maybe a blown kiss to one's reflection, they turn off their bathroom/vanity lights and walk out the door, ready to face the world, feeling like a princess.

The Princess Products Method is not just for people who wear makeup! It can also be for anyone who feels like they need a little boost in fierceness, confidence, or just likes having fun. It encourages people to recognize their inner beauty and let the world know that they are confident enough in themselves to trust people will see them for who they truly are, not what they look like.

In closing, let's just be honest, CONFIDENCE IS SEXY.
