It all started with last year's Spring-Summer Haute Couture for Dior. I remember the show video being suggested on my queue. I had never even heard of Dior before, so, realizing that I had nothing better to do on that promising summer day, I naturally clicked the thumbnail and watched. I didn't know what to expect for the fact that I had no idea what haute couture even was! So, I sat back in my chair and listened to the addictive song run through my ears, as it does even today. Then... there was the first look. I slowly sat up in my chair and drew nearer and nearer to the screen as the beautiful model walked through the runway house. She was wearing a wonderful white dress with black flower detail, belted with a thin band of silver.
My life was never the same after that moment. I looked more into the iconic designs of the French Couture House and increasingly fell in love with style, sewing, and everything in between! I could never have guessed that one year later I would be this far with that spur-of-the-moment dream. I greatly encourage you to watch the show below, and, too, be inspired by the fantastical silhouettes.
