I use this product with a paddle brush when I am looking for light coverage, and with a flat-top when I am aiming for medium coverage. Using your own fingers is always an option, but I prefer brushes just because I like to be a little extra when I am applying my makeup ;) It's not really about the destination; it's about the journey!
Here is what my complexion looks like before and after application:
Before (blech) |
After (using a flat top and set with powder foundation-which I suggest) |
One thing that is very misleading about this product is its moisturizing qualities. In reality, there aren't really any noteworthy moisturizing qualities. The product does not really cling to dry patches unless it is set with powder, but personally, I use a light moisturizer underneath this product due to my skin's sensitivity. I would, quite honestly, call this product a tinted sunscreen due to its consistency and uses!
Some things I loved about this product were:
-Blendability
-Sunscreen Content
-Ability to be used heavily as a spot concealer
-Ease of application
Some things I did not love about this product were:
-Necessary powder touch-ups for oily skin just 2 hours after setting
-Strong scent (which clings to the brush used to apply it)
-"Squeezey bottle" packaging
-Inability to cover blemishes without heavier application or concealer
-Oxidizing Qualities of some of the darker shades\
In all, I enjoyed this product for the most part, but may try a more high-end BB Cream in the future to compare results with.
